I received a phone call from the Team Leader (Kristen) late this afternoon, letting me know the girls have safely arrived in Zambia. I’m sure they’re jet-lagged and sleep-deprived, but feeling more alive than ever… Bring on the next two months!

God is Doing Ten Thousand Things…

This morning I had a conversation with some of my team members.  We were talking about how our first three and a half weeks of this trip have been for each of us…  It came to light that all of us, in different ways, have been struggling with the work we’re doing here, and not feeling fulfilled in it. Not that we’re unhappy with what we’re doing. Quite the opposite, actually. With Open Arms

   If you know me at the most basic level, you know that I’m a hugger. I love hugs. Fact: Studies show that hug are good for your health! You can’t argue with science. So, when we opened the gate to our compound and the Zambian children came running towards me and my team, arms wide open, it was such a beautiful picture to me. I was so excited to hug these children, hold them, and just love on them with then love of Christ. As soon as I was done holding one child, another one was right there to be picked-up next.
