Let it Rain.

Zambia is a beautiful country full of lush green foliage, beautiful people, sunsets that you will remember for a lifetime, and stars that make you want to sleep on the dirt outside staring at the Galaxy’s above. Zambia has my heart in so many unexplained ways; so when I see Zambia hurt, I hurt with them, as if I’m one of their own.

Here in Zambia, they love their maize (corn)! Maize is what sustains them in every sense of the meaning, despite needing a lot of water to stay healthy which is great because Zambia gets tons of rain this time of year…except this year. We have been here in Livingstone for around 2 ½ months, and it has only rained maybe 3 times (and those 3 times were not nearly enough to sustain any crops). Rain also brings cool refreshing mornings and nights that make you wish you had tons of blankets to snuggle up in. It also keeps the mosquitos away and makes everything that was once brown, green once again! So therefore I love the rain because I get to see the dead come to life again. I get to witness an answered prayer. I get to see people praising the Lord for the rain He has given. We are now on day 3 of rain, I can feel the atmosphere changing! Christ is here, He is present!
